


Ethan Evans is an award-winning writer/director from the UK. He specialises in horror, injecting grounded characters into worlds of nail-biting tension and creative set-pieces.
Ethan graduated from the Uni of Glos in 2018 with a First-Class Honours degree in Film Production where he specialised in writing and directing Fiction. In 2018, Ethan co-founded TERROR ARCADE with writer/producer Jess Bartlett and self-funded several award-winning horror shorts, inc. the BFI Future Film Lab award nominee WITHER which screened at prestigious festivals worldwide and won ‘Best Horror Film’ at the Cardiff International Film Festival. In 2020, Ethan's 0-budget lockdown short STAGNANT won the Audience Choice Award in Arrow Video and Celluloid Screams' Horror Lockdown Competition. His viral short TIME OUT has gained close to 100 million views across platforms - he is now developing TIME OUT into a feature-length adaptation.
Following these shorts, Ethan was scouted to write and direct episodes of the American/Canadian HBO Max series THE HAUNTED MUSEUM for Travel Channel in 2021, which was exec produced by filmmaker Eli Roth. Following the success of his episodes, Ethan was invited back to write and direct episodes of URBAN LEGEND in 2022.
Ethan has recently completed OUTSIDE NOISE - an eerie proof-of-concept exec produced by Jed Shepherd & Alex Noyer which premiered at the 68th BFI London Film Festival and was shortlisted for Sony's Future Filmmaker Awards in LA, reaching the top 0.1% of submissions worldwide. Ethan is currently gearing up to direct his debut feature to give you nightmares in the near future.
